About

Coaching is a structured, non-judgmental, motivational resource that allows individuals to work one-on-one with a trained Inclusive Education and Strategic Initiatives team member to set personal goals, synthesize training information, and problem-solve specific issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Participants will be able to have up to three 45-minute sessions. Anyone currently enrolled in the BUILD certificate program is able to access the coaching program.

What coaching is and isn't:

You are the expert in your life. Coaching helps you connect to you, your wisdom, and take action to create the life you really want. Coaching is non-judgmental. Coaching is NOT counseling or therapy.

Kilburg's Conceptual Approach (Adapted)

Our coaching services follow an adapted model of Kilburg's Conceptual Approach. With an emphasis on specific goal setting and guided self-reflection.

What you should expect from working with your coach:

You will work with your coach in three 45-minute sessions split over 6-9 months.

Your goals and focus may change. Ups and downs can occur and are normal to the coaching process. Down just means that we have the opportunity for more growth.

You as the participant decide what to cover and how/when to end coaching.
