The session is a collaboration between the Office of the Provost, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and University Human Resources. Within the session, participants will begin making the shift from diversity to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We will review tools, resources, and strategies for integrating DEI into unit plans. This introductory workshop will provide a framework for understanding diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values of the university. Participants will explore and reflect on the role of identity in our personal and professional experiences. This session will also outline relevant resources and opportunities on campus. As part of the BUILD initiative, this session should be taken first.
