LGBTQ+ History Month celebrates the history, legacy, and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. It is different than Pride Month, as it was specifically created with the intent of preserving LGBTQ+ history and encouraging the study of it.

National Disability Employment Awareness Day was created to educate on issues workers with disabilities face and how employers can practice inclusive hiring practices.

Global Diversity Awareness Month

Global Diversity Awareness Month celebrates the way different cultures, ethnicities, backgrounds, heritages, and abilities contribute to more dynamic and creative workplaces.

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day raises awareness of mental health issues and the creation of mental health support.

National Coming Out Day

National Coming Out Day celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, including those who have come out, those in the process of coming out, and those who have not yet come out. Coming out is the process of recognizing and sharing one's sexual identity.

National Indigenous Peoples' Day

National Indigenous Peoples' Day honors the culture and history of Native Americans. It is a time to reflect on their history, recognize the past tragedies that continue to affect them, and uplift communities.

Homecoming week brings together students, faculty and staff, future Hawkeyes, and alumni from across the world in celebration. It includes activities such as a parade, the construction of the corn monument, the crowning of Royalty, and more.
