Latinx Heritage Month

Latinx Heritage Month takes place every year from September 15 to October 15. The Latinx community includes any person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin. 

Latinx heritage month begins on September 15 because signifies the anniversary of independence for several Latin American countries which include Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua (all on September 15th), Mexico (on September 16th), and Chile (September 18).

Labor Day

Labor Day is September 4th, 2023. 

Labor Day honors the 19th century labor movement and the strides made for worker's rights. There are no classes on Labor Day. 

National Voter Registration Day

National Voter Registration Day is a campaign to get everyone to registered to vote and celebrate the right of voting.
