Campus Accessibility Improvements
The Quad Ravine pedestrian pathway has had various sets of stairs and steep slopes removed. This pathway now provides means for an accessible route connecting the east and west sides of the campus.
Voxman Music Building
This building has a 700 seat concert hall and a 200 seat recital hall which both have an induction hearing loop system installed.
Boyd Law Building
The main floor women and men restrooms have been completely renovated to provide accessibility for people with disabilities.
A large space located on the first floor of the north building has been renovated using several universal design principals and concepts. Kudos to those who chose to incorporate universal design with this project!
Upgrades to the Steindler Memorial amphitheatre located on the medical campus included expanded seating areas and improved surface pathways which allow for a more engaging experience for people with disabilities.

All three elevators have been modernized and are now ADA compliant.
Van Allen Hall
The southeast entrance serving the auditorium wing has been renovated. Site steps were removed and power door openers were installed. This entrance is now accessible to people with disabilities.

The men and women restrooms located in the southeast auditorium wing have been completely renovated and are wheelchair accessible. A single user restroom is also now available.
Carver Hawkeye Arena
An accessible ramp has been installed which connects parking areas to the Hawkins Drive crosswalk near the southwest entrances of Carver Hawkeye Arena.
The raised brick patio and site stairs at the main entrance have been removed and replaced with gentle grade sidewalks and landscaping.
Becker Communications Studies Building
All of the restrooms have been completely renovated and are now accessible to people with disabilities.
Pedestrian circulation pathways on the east side of the Pentacrest have had the stairs removed and replaced with gradual sloping sidewalks and landscape.
All of the restrooms in MacLean hall have been modernized and are now wheelchair accessible.

The steps located at the southeast corner of Schaeffer Hall have been removed and replaced with a sloping sidewalk and landscape.
College of Nursing Building
The College of Nursing upgraded all of their restrooms to prode wheelchair access. New flooring and wall coverings, toilet partitions, sinks, faucets, audible/visual alarms, sharps disposal containers, plumbing fixtures, and room signage were included. Some of the doors entering the restrooms even have a power door opener on them! Kudos to the folks at the College of Nursing.
Hardin Library of Health Sciences
The elevator at Hardin Libray has been modernized and is now ADA compliant.
The second floor restrooms in the south building have been completely upgraded and are now wheelchair accessible.
University Services Building
The crosswalk which connects parking lot #11 to the University Services Building has had a curb cut and ramp installed. This allows for closer parking to serve people with disabilities wishing to access the building.
The elevator at Calvin Hall has been upgraded and offers greater access to people with disabilities.
English Philosophy Building
Room signage throughout the building has been replaced with ADA compliant signage.
The ground floor men's restroom has been renovated and is now wheelchair accessible.
An accessible single user restroom has been installed on the west side of the second floor..
