E.B. Green Scholarship

The E.B. Green scholarship provides financial assistance to K-12 students with demonstrated financial need who wish to attend educational and/or recreational summer programs on the University of Iowa campus. These funds cover fees and materials related to attending a UI summer youth program.

The application will be posted to this page by early February, 2019. The typical award ranges up to $300 (funding resources are limited).

Recipients of the E.B. Green scholarship wanting to attend a UI Sports Camp are subject to applicable NCAA rules regarding free admission to institutional sports camps.

If you have any questions, please email michael-meginnis@uiowa.edu or call 319-467-0755.

In order to receive support, you must be accepted to a UI summer youth program. You do not need to be approved before applying for support, however. The summer program application is a separate process and should be arranged with the summer program you wish to attend.

How to Apply

The Summer 2019 application will be posted to this page by early February, 2019.

Please note:

  • Priority will be given to applicants who did not receive funding in Summer 2018. If funds are still available after awarding these students, applicants who did receive funding in 2018 will be considered in the order in which they were received until all funds are distributed.
  • Incomplete applications (i.e., specific camp not listed, no proof of income or participation in federal programming included) will not be reviewed.

Students who were previously awarded funds but failed to show for camp will be disqualified from consideration.
