Guidance Document on Search/Posting Requirements Now Finalized (July 3, 2014)
The guidance document summarizing the search and job posting requirements for P&S/ SEIU, Faculty, Merit, Postdoctoral, Student and Research Internship positions is now finalized. This guidance helps HR Unit representatives determine the type of advertisement/job posting that may be required. This document was prepared to assist university departments adhere to the newly revised regulations from the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) on VEVRAA (Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act). Federal contractors subject to the VEVRAA regulations must list all their employment openings (with limited exceptions) with their state employment service agency. Departments conducting a regular search using Jobs@UIOWA do not need to create an additional job posting. To create a Job Posting for temporary/other positions, login to Employee Self Service, Administration tab, Systems, Jobs@UIIOWA.
