Special Advisory- Online Harassment Prevention Education Courses from Navex Global Ending Jan. 31, 2018 (January 12, 2018)

January 12, 2018

The university’s contract with its current online harassment prevention education provider, Navex Global, is ending on Wed., Jan. 31, 2018. Effective Feb. 1, 2018, university employees will no longer be able to access the following online courses: Preventing Harassment on Campus- Supervisory Faculty and Staff 2nd Edition- 2015-2017 and Preventing Harassment on Campus- Non-Supervisory Faculty and Staff 2nd Edition- 2015-2017.

The university has selected a new provider for this compliance and is preparing to implement a new online harassment prevention course, with an estimated launch date of Thur., Mar. 1, 2018. This means there may be a period of one month or longer where we do not have an online product available for this compliance.

The university continues to offer instructor-led courses through UI Learning & Development and UI Health Care Human Resources. More information on the instructor-led courses is available from EOD’s website and from UI Health Care, Faculty & Staff New Hire Orientation’s website.

If you have employees who have started one of the Preventing Harassment on Campus courses from Navex Global, but not yet completed it, they must complete the course and the entire quiz before 11:59PM on Wed., Jan. 31, 2018 to receive credit for the course.

Employees who are due to complete this compliance as a refresher will receive a brief extension until the new online product is available. New employees who have a due date between Feb. 1 and April 1, 2018, or who are delinquent in completing the compliance, should plan to attend an instructor-led program until the new online course is available. EOD will be adding additional instructor-led programs until the new online program is available.

A notice to this effect was posted in Self Service on Jan. 11, 2018.

Please email diversity@uiowa.edu with any additional questions/concerns and thank you for your patience as we migrate to this new online course.
