Pakistani Student Association invites you to join us for BASANT—Spring Kite Flying Festival on Sunday April 29th from 12–3 p.m. in Hubbard Park (near the IMU). Admission and food is FREE! Many thanks to our generous sponsors: U Iowa Associated Residence Halls (ARH), Center for Student Involvement & Leadership and University of Iowa Graduate & Professional Student Government and UI students and community for helpig us raise funds at our bake sales!!!!
There will be kite flying, games, snacks, and music.
People of all ages are welcome to attend. Bring along a friend, your whole family, or come alone and make new friends! Come to fly kites or just to enjoy the spring day with snacks. You are encouraged to bring your own kites, but you can also use one of ours.
Basant is a spring kite-flying festival that usually takes place in Pakistan and India. Pakistan celebrates the beginning of spring with Basant and colors the sky with beautiful kites. People of all ages come to fly kites and enjoy tasty food or just enjoy being outdoors after cold winter.
Parking: Limited coin parking is available at metered lots next to hubbard park. There is also IMU parking ramp which is open for general public.
