Share Your Scholarship: Invisible Hawkeyes
Join us on February 27th from 4-5 p.m. in the Main Library Gallery Space for a lively discussion with the authors of Invisible Hawkeyes, Michael Hill (Professor of English and African American Studies) and Lena Hill (Professor of English and African American Studies, Interim Chief Diversity Officer, and Associate Vice President).
The pair will talk about the 2016 book Invisible Hawkeyes: African Americans at the University of Iowa during the Long Civil Rights Era. They will also discuss the research that went into bringing these stories to the public eye.
Light refreshments will be served.
Each semester, the Digital Scholarship and Publishing Studio hosts a series of short talks in which Affiliated Scholars share their ongoing work. The talk’s degree of formality is left up to the speaker and time for Q&A is provided.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Connor Hood in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org or 319-384-4395.
