Extension of Due Dates

Due to the ongoing pandemic and the university’s implementation of its critical incident management plan, we will be extending the due dates for the harassment prevention compliance course to May 1, 2020, for all employees who are due to complete the course on or before April 30, 2020. We will assess the need for further extensions of the due dates as the situation evolves over the coming weeks.

Cancellation of in-person Harassment Prevention Courses in Mar. and April, 2020

EOD has also cancelled its in-person sessions of the Harassment Prevention course in March and April. If able, we encourage employees to utilize the online harassment prevention courses instead.

Extensions Due to Leaves of Absence

Please contact EOD via diversity@uiowa.edu to request an extension for employees on extended leaves of absence. These requests must be first be approved by the senior HR leader or associate dean for faculty in your college/division.

Tips/Tech Support for the Online HP Courses

Recommended Browsers:               

Use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari as your browser.

Other Tips:

1.       Use a PC computer if possible

2.       Refrain from using Citrix or Remote Desktop to access the UI network and login to the course

3.       Do not attempt to login to the HP course from the VA Hospital computer system

Course Length:

AAO/Supervisors course ≈ 2+ hours

Non-AAO/Non-Supervisors course ≈ 1- 1.5 hours

We strongly recommend employees start early and work on these online courses over multiple sessions.
