Elizabeth obtained her master of science from the University of Iowa School of Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Housing and Community Development. She also holds a bachelors of arts in Sociology and a bachelors of arts in Psychology from the University of Iowa. During her time at the University of Iowa, Elizabeth worked as a Graduate Assistant for Multicultural Programs at the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership and was the manager for the Latino Native American Cultural Center. Prior to joining the Center for Diversity & Enrichment’s TRIO Student Support Services in October 2015, Elizabeth worked as civil rights investigator and outreach specialist with the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission where she investigated cases of discrimination in housing, employment, education, public accommodation and credit.
