Kendra coordinates the Safe Zone Project and provides support for various Chief Diversity Office initiatives. Kendra earned a bachelor of arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Women’s Studies from Iowa State University. Kendra is an active member of the Women of Color Advisory Network, a statewide group of professional women of color committed to ending violence in our communities. Kendra has a breadth of experience developing and providing cultural competency training with a particular focus on communities of color, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer communities, anti-sexual violence, and community empowerment.
