Assistant Director, Center for Diversity and Enrichment
24 Phillips Hall (PH)
Lauren earned her bachelor of arts degree in business administration and Spanish from Coe College in 2010. After completion, she started her work experience as an admissions counselor at Mount Mercy University. She proceeded to work her way up in the Admissions Office and assumed roles as both an assistant director and associate director of admissions in her six years of employment. Her experience allowed her to broaden her horizons in the field of higher education as she worked with students and their families, while additionally learning the administrative and operations side of the admissions field.
While at Mount Mercy, Lauren completed her masters of public administration with an emphasis in public personnel management from Upper Iowa University. Also while at Mount Mercy, she assumed the role of chairperson for the Inclusion, Access, and Success Committee as part of the Iowa Association for College Admission Counseling. Her proudest moment in that role was putting on the inaugural L.E.A.P. Conference, which was a leadership conference designed to help under-represented students from across the state of Iowa.
In her spare time, Lauren loves spending time with her family, friends, and dog Sophie. She is an avid concert-goer and traveler, and has traveled to ten international countries. Lastly, she enjoys all sports, but especially cheering on the Cubs and Hawkeyes!
