Campus Outreach Services
As part of the Center for Diversity and Enrichment (CDE), Campus Outreach Services (COS) provides one-on-one academic coaching, facilitates academic and cultural services geared towards supporting students with disabilities, students with marginalized racial/ethnic identities, first generation students, low-income students, and students who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. COS also administers the Advantage Iowa Award, provides recruiting support for students from diverse backgrounds, provides diversity training for student groups and student leaders upon request, helps build community, and supports the ability of underrepresented students to thrive and succeed at the University of Iowa.
COS partners with university departments and community partners to enhance and enrich the experiences of marginalized students at Iowa. A few of our signature programs and partnerships include the West Liberty Enrichment Program, The Iowa Edge, the West Liberty Pen Pal Program, Iowa First Nations Summer Program, Summer Enrichment Institute, Hawks & Eyas Mentoring Program, Latinx Youth Summit, Black in Business, CDE Graduation Reception, Community of Color, and much more!
