About the Celebration
The Center for Inclusive Academic Excellence is so excited to celebrate students graduating in the 2021-2022 year. As a graduate, we would like to say CONGRATULATIONS on all that you have accomplished. As a guest, we want to express our appreciation for the role you've played in their lives. We're a community and no one can navigate this world alone - thank you.
We happily invite you to the 32nd Annual Center for Inclusive Academic Excellence Graduation Celebration - a special evening of entertainment and celebration. This will be an in-person event hosted in the IMU Main Lounge 180. Join us dressed in whatever makes you feel your best!

The Distinguished Educator Award
Distinguished Educator Award
The student nominated Distinguished Educator Award recognizes a faculty or staff member who has exemplified excellence in cultural diversity over the past year. This award is named in honor of Dr. Nancy “Rusty” Barceló, previous Assistant Provost and Director of Opportunity at Iowa. Her commitment, dedication, and desire to assist and promote diversity throughout the University of Iowa were the foundation for creating such an award.
If you are graduating this year, you or your student organization are invited to nominate a UI faculty or staff member who has been dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
The deadline for nomination is Friday, March 18, at 5 p.m. CST.
