UI’s Harassment Prevention (HP) Online Courses Currently Offline - Update
Friday, July 26, 2024
We are still working on the technical issue affecting both versions of the online Harassment Prevention Compliance courses (#WSHSPR and #WSHSTF in ICON/CQ) which currently remain offline:
We are aware of the issue and continue working with our course vendor and IT partners on solutions. We have taken the courses down temporarily in order to work on the issues and prevent additional users from experiencing problems. We will put out notifications if the courses will be unavailable beyond Friday, August 2nd. We are sorry for any inconvenience and will provide updates as they become available.
Once the problem has been resolved and we have completed testing, we do anticipate that we will extend the due dates for those who started one of the HP courses recently and/or are due to complete an HP course within the next 30 days.
Please do not send any reminders to your faculty/staff/TA’s/postdocs/fellows/medical residents asking them to complete the course until after access has been restored. A notice to this effect will be posted on the landing page for the online courses and on the Office of Civil Rights Compliance website. Please email daod-ocrc@uiowa.edu with any questions/concerns you may have.
Thanks for your continued patience as we work to restore these courses as quickly as possible.
About the Course
Education is essential to establishing a campus environment that is free of harassment and discrimination. The required courses are designed to educate university employees about prohibited conduct and the problems associated with harassment and discrimination, including sexual harassment and sexual misconduct, and to inform persons who have experienced harassment or discrimination of their rights. The courses also instruct administrators how to address complaints.
