Individuals will have the opportunity to plan their DEI Career Development utilizing the DEI Career Development Plan (DEI CDP) while exploring university resources as well as identify and define their SMARTIE Goals.

In partnership with Kognito, "Cultivating Inclusive Communities" is an online learning experience developed by subject matter experts to develop faculty and staff gain awareness, knowledge, skills, and self-confidence to engage across differences with integrity and empathy, effectively fostering an inclusive campus community that embraces diversity.

We curated recommended courses on DEI Topics that are relevant to all roles on campus, Supervisors, and HR. Some courses may provide opportunities for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from: HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Project Management Institute (PMI), and National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).

Looking for a deeper dive into specific DEI-content areas? We’ve curated a list of recommended UI DEI-Related Courses to Audit based on topic and identity categories.

As a University of Iowa faculty and staff member with a 50% or greater permanent appointment and post-doctoral scholar, you are eligible to audit one University of Iowa course per session without being assessed tuition and mandatory fees for that course.
