Hello, my name is Kim, and I'm originally from Chicago, and my parents are from Peru. I came to Iowa as an undergraduate student, where I finished both degrees and taught at the elementary and middle school level before joining the Upward Bound program at the University of Iowa. I love working with all kinds of students and make it my mission to continue to learn as much as I can and apply my learning and experiences as a first-generation graduate to better serve the students I get the opportunity to work with.
