What is the Networking Dinner?
Engage with students (Jr/High School, Undergrad, and Graduate/Professional) interested in fields of business, entrepreneurship, the arts, education, engineering, nonprofit, and more. These students hope to connect with professionals in their fields of interest to learn about how they can also carve out a successful career path! The Networking Dinner was created to focus on the cultivation of our next leaders, supporting their growth, igniting their passions, and connecting them to successful professionals. During this event, students hear from speakers and get the opportunity to meet other professionals from various industries. Our goals for student attendees for this event have been:
- See representation and meet Black professionals within an array of industries
- Access mentorship from business leaders in fields that interest you
- Discover potential internship opportunities
For more information and to inquire about RSVP'ing, please email Tevin Robbins at tevin-robbins@uiowa.edu.
What is the Black in Business Series?
The Black in Business Series hosts events coordinated by the Tippie College of Business and student-employed project coordinators who are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space within the Tippie College of Business and University of Iowa for students to thrive and grow professionally. We work to provide programming by advocating for representation inside and outside of the classroom. This Series is open to all students who wish to connect with Black and Brown business leaders and get exposed to unique mentorship opportunities. Connect with us on LinkedIn.
Our programming/events are free and open to all students at Iowa because all fields of study can tie back to business and the Black in Business Series strive to represent multiple industries.
