The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Training Review Committee has lifted the pause on trainings related to Executive Order 13950. Due to the complexity of the order, the committee continues to review a handful of programs but feels comfortable moving forward with our faculty and staff trainings, which are a vital part of our commitment to recruit, retain and advance a diverse campus.

The Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion appreciates the questions, concerns, and thoughtful discussions that arose from Executive Order 13950. It has been a challenging few weeks as we have continued to navigate a complex set of external influences on our campus. We have worked with a number of constituency groups who have offered some clarity around the EO, impact on our current training, and overall recommendations on how best to move forward.

As you resume trainings, we encourage you to consider the factors outlined in the committee’s October 14 update. Please know the DEI Training Review Committee is still available to review DEI trainings, or programs provided within your unit, department, or college if questions arise as it pertains to the Executive Order.
